KiXX to Retire Number of Former Rams’ Goalkeeper, Peter Pappas

Philadelphia, PA - The Philadelphia KiXX will retire the #22 jersey of former goalkeeper and Philadelphia University captain Peter Pappas (Toronto, Ontario/ Cedarbrae Collegiate Institute) on Sunday (3/21) when the KiXX host the Baltimore Blast at the Liacouras Center, set for 4:05 p.m.

Pappas’94 name is all over the Ram’s all-times record list. He is the all-time leader in career wins (33); career saves (522) and season saves (188) in 1994.

He is also second in career shutouts (20), third in career goals against average (GAA)- (1.14), fourth in season GAA (.80) in 1992, fifth in season victories (10) in 1992 and is tied for fifth place in season shutouts (7).

In 1994, Pappas was named the Philadelphia Soccer Seven ‘Player of the Year’, and garnered Soccer Seven All-Star three times.

Pappas spent 13 seasons with the KiXX. During that time he played in 416 matches, recording 5,399 saves and 230 wins. He was named Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) ‘Goalkeeper of the Year’ four times and an All-League selection eight times.
