PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia University women’s basketball team held a skills clinic at the Salvation Army Kroc Center of Philadelphia on Sept. 10, and were assisted by Philadelphia 76ers legend and Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame inductee Julius Erving.
Before getting to the drills, the campers treated to a performance by the Sixers Phlight Squads and then listened to a brief speech from Dr. J.
Then, the women’s basketball team and head coach Tom Shirley broke the campers into smaller groups and led them in dribbling, passing, and shooting drills.
After an hour of drills, Dr. J participated in a question and answer session.
