Jefferson Earns Branding Awards for Athletic Visual Identity

PHILADELPHIA – After unveiling the new athletic identity at Ram Madness to kick off the 2017-18 basketball seasons on Oct. 12, 2017, Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) has earned two awards for the logo package.

The athletic department won a gold award from Collegiate Advertising Awards, a national program that honors marketing professionals for excellence in all forms of advertising, marketing and promotion specific to higher education products and services. The athletics visual identity also won a bronze award in the logo category from the Educational Advertising Awards, one of the most respected educational advertising competitions in the nation.

"We would like to thank [Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications] Pat Baldridge and the university's public relations department for working hard last summer with 160over90 to establish our new athletic brand," said Assistant Vice President of Athletics Tom Shirley. "The new colors and logo will help us standout on the field and court beyond our athletic achievements."

Philadelphia University and Thomas Jefferson University announced their official combination, effective July 1, 2017, creating a national professional university designed to deliver high-impact education and value for students in medicine, science, architecture, design, fashion, textiles, health, business, engineering and more.
