PHILADELPHIA The Thomas Jefferson University men's and women's basketball teams host CACC North Division foe Bloomfield on Saturday evening at the Gallagher Center. The men (16-2, 9-0 CACC) kick things off at 4 p.m. followed by the women (7-10, 4-5 CACC) at 6:30 p.m.

The Jefferson men are 13-7 against the Bears but have dropped three straight in the series. The Rams are 7-2 at home.

On the women's side, the Rams lead the all-time series, 12-8. Jefferson won last year's meeting, 97-52, on the road. The Rams have an 8-2 record in East Falls.

The men outscored visiting Chestnut Hill, 58-46, in the second half to secure a 91-75 victory on Tuesday night. Sophomore Deondre Bourne drilled seven threes on the night and finished with 26 points. He was 7-of-14 from the field, including 7-for-10 from beyond the arc, and a perfect 5-for-5 at the line. Senior Josh Bradanese totaled 24 points on 10-of-15 shooting. He was 4-for-8 from downtown and grabbed nine rebounds with three assists and two blocks. Senior DeVaughn Mallory recorded 17 points, eight boards, two assists and two blocks. Senior Kylan Guerra registered 13 points, nine rebounds and five assists.

The women dropped their CACC game to Chestnut Hill, 76-72 at the Gallagher Center on Tuesday evening. Senior Alynna Williams ended the contest with 21 points, four steals, two rebounds and two assists. She was 9-for-16 with a trio of three-pointers. Juniors Sabria Lytes and Allie Warren and freshman Haley Meinel all finished with 13 points. Lytes and Warren each grabbed seven boards with Meinel adding four assists and three steals. Freshman Morgan Robinson came down with five rebounds.

The Bloomfield men (10-8, 7-4 CACC) bring a season-best four-game win streak into Saturday's matchup. The Bears are outscoring opponents by an average of 16.5 points over the four contests. They are one of the top teams in Division II in guarding the three-point line, ranking fourth in three-point field goal defense (29.4). Bloomfield is also 11th in rebounds per game (41.61). Safee Abdus-Sabur and Rich Chapman lead the way with 17.6 and 15.0 points per contest respectively. Matt Lajeunesse's 10.7 rebound average is seventh in the nation.

For the women, the Bears (4-14, 3-6 CACC) are looking to end a six-game slide. Jaylah Bennett is Bloomfield's top scorer with 10.9 points per game. DaShanique Ruffin is averaging 9.7 points and 9.5 boards per contest. Bennett and Caitlin Townes are three-point threats with 32 and 31 triples on the season respectively.

The Rams wrap up a three-game home stand on Wednesday, January 29 versus USciences.
