PHILADELPHIA - The Thomas Jefferson University athletic department has decided to postpone this year's Robert C. Lockyer '68 Golf Invitational due to restrictions surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak. The annual event originally scheduled for June 11 will now take place on Thursday, October 1 at The 1912 Club in Plymouth Meeting, Pa.
"On behalf of the Robert C. Lockyer '68 Golf Committee, I am delighted to support our students by rescheduling the outing for October 1, 2020," said Assistant Director of Athletics Chris O'Brien. "Given that Homecoming falls on October 3, this can be an added event that alumni, parents and friends enjoy. Now, more than ever, we are committed to making the outing a success, which directly supports our student-athletes."
Now in its 19th year, the Robert C. Lockyer '68 Golf Invitational is the largest annual fundraiser benefitting Jefferson's athletic programs. Last year's tournament raised over $55,000 to support student-athletes.
Additional information, including registration, will be announced in the future. Any questions regarding the event can be directed to Chris O'Brien at email@example.com
