A legendary coach at the University, DeLaney has established himself as one of the top NCAA Division II men’s basketball coaches at West Chester University where he has amassed 306 career victories and has a string of 14 consecutive winning campaigns. An assistant under men’s basketball coach Herb Magee from 1975 to 1987, DeLaney also served as the head baseball coach of the Rams for ten seasons, leading the program to its first-ever NCAA Tournament berth in 1987. During his tenure, DeLaney also served as the head men’s tennis coach and was an assistant coach for the men’s soccer team for four years, including the team’s NCAA Division I Final Four team in 1978.
