Maribeth McCallion (née Rogers), a 2018 Hall of Fame inductee known for her ball handling and clever passing, played for the women’s basketball team from 1980-84 under former head coaches Connee Zotos and Julie Soriero.

Her 654 career assists top the Rams’ leaderboard with the next closest coming in at 592. Across 98 career games, she averaged just under 6.7 assists per affair.

McCallion totaled three seasons that rank in the top 10 for assists. As a senior, she dished out 169 dimes after recording a career-best and then program-best 192 as a junior in 1982-83. Her 192 assists that year remain as the third most by a Ram in the single campaign. As freshman in 1980-81, McCaillion assisted on 173 baskets.

She holds the single-game assists record with 15. Scoring wise, she finished her career with 747 points, good for 7.6 per game.

McCallion won Captain Pagano’s Player of the Week and Big Five Award seven times and earned Second Team All-Area honors in 1982-83.
