Mike Kerrigan was a second-team All-American pitcher in 1990 to help the Rams baseball team make its only appearnace in the NCAA Division II College World Series. In his junior season, Kerrigan also earned All-North Atlantic first team recognition and was named to the North Atlantic Region All-Tournament team. The 1991 President’s Award recipient, Kerrigan is the school’s all-time record holder for wins (19) and is sixth in career strikeouts (166).
The southpaw was signed by the Montreal Expos after his senior year in 1991. He played for the Gulf Coast Expos, Montreal’s rookie team, and posted a 4-2 record with a 2.80 earned run average in 35.1 innings. The Expos won the Gulf Coast League title.
