Louden was a four-year letterwinner for Magee’s men’s basketball team, helping the Rams to 76 victories during his standout career. He currently holds the school record with 284 career steals while his 669 career assists rank second all-time and his 1,495 career points rank 19th all-time. It was the 1988-89 season, however, that put Louden on the map as he scored a then-school-record 712 points, earning first-team All-America honors. He also added 111 steals that season, which also marked a school-record at the point, helping the Rams to a berth in the NCAA Division II Tournament. For his efforts as a senior, the Cardinal O’Hara (Pa.) graduate was also named the Mideast Collegiate Conference MVP for both the regular season as well as the postseason tournament while also being named the Herb Good Small College Player of the Year.
