Wilmington, DE- The Philadelphia University
Lady Rams (14-7, 9-3 CACC) put on a show in a 80-54 conference win
over the CACC South division cellar dweller Goldey-Beacom College
Lightning (6-16, 2-11 CACC) on Thursday night. Junior center
Jess Romano (Horsham, PA/ Hatboro-Horsham) led the
Lady Rams with 27 points and 11 rebounds.
The Lady Rams shot 46%- GBC's 31% from field goal range for the
game, and led 39-15 at the half.
Junior guard Amanda Brennan (Stratford, NJ/
Sterling) added 17 points for PhilaU, including 5-8 shooting from
three-point land.
The Lightning were led by Kellyn Nolan's 18 points.
The Lady Rams bench was cleared as every single player
contributed, including junior guard Nina Brascetta
(Philadelphia, PA/ Archbishop Ryan) with 10 points and six assists
and freshman forward Christine Wooding
(Northfield, NJ/ Mainland) who added 10 points and eight
boards.
Next up for PhilaU will be a home contest against the Bloomfield
College Deacons on Saturday, February 7th at 2 p.m. at
the Gallagher Athletic Center.
