Clermont, FL- The Lady Rams dropped two games to Southern Connecticut 3-0 and 5-4 before falling in the night-cap to Merrimack 5-1 in Florida.  Freshman utility player Sara Romano (Harrisburg, PA/ Central Dauphin) led PhilaU at the plate with a two-RBI triple in the second game to SCSU.

In the first game of the day vs. SCSU in which PhilaU fell 3-0, PhilaU freshman pitcher Ali Schmidt (Cordova, MD/ Easton) tossed a three-hitter, but was undone by four walks, two of which scored.

In game two vs. SCSU, PhilaU was defeated 5-4 as sophomore pitcher Randi Wozniak (Newtown Sq., PA/ Marple Newtown) took the loss, in relief of junior hurler Kelly Rauco (Nutley, NJ/ Nutley).  The Lady Rams led 2-0 after the first inning, but fell behind 3-2.  Romano's triple gave the PhilaU squad back the lead at 4-3 in the 5th, but the Lady Rams fell behind for good as SCSU scored two more runs in the bottom of the 6th to steal the win.

In game three's 5-1 loss to Merrimack the Lady Rams were shutdown by MC's ace Melissa Gagnon-who threw an 11 strikeout win.  PhilaU got their only run from junior outfielder Kristin Loughery's (Phoenixville, PA/ Phoenixville) RBI double, driving in junior Kristin Giamatteo (Bellmore, NY/Wellington Mepham).
