Clermont, FL- The Lady Rams (6-5, 0-0 CACC)
continued their winning ways, getting a 7-3 win over Indiana Tech
followed by a 3-2 win over St.Michael's College (VT) in Florida on
Tuesday.
In the first game vs. Indiana Tech, PhilaU winning freshman
pitcher Amber Beauchemin (Galloway, NJ/
Absegami) pitched a complete game- allowing just three earned
runs and letting up nine hits. Offensively the Lady Rams were
led by junior infielder Kristin Giamatteo's
(Bellmore, NY/Wellington Mepham HS) two-RBI double, and
junior catcher/outfielder Maggie Desmond (Bayport
NY/St. John the Baptist HS) who went 2-2 with two RBIs.
In game two vs. St.Michael's College (VT) the Lady Rams were led
on the mound by freshman hurler Ali Schmidt
(Cordova, MD/ Easton) who tossed a complete game, striking out 11
while allowing four hits. At the plate M. Desmond and
freshmen infielder Katie Renner (Berryville,
VA/Brunswick HS) and utility Sara Romano
(Harrisburg, PA/Central Dauphin) each had an RBI.
The maroon and gray return to action on Thursday, March 19th vs.
Merrimack at 9:30 a.m. and Franklin Pierce at 11:30 a.m.
