Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University women's basketball team (1-2, 0-0 CACC) fell to Millersville (3-0, 0-0 PSAC) in a 60-57 loss at home Sunday (11/28). The squad was led by the shooting trio of junior forward Christine Wooding, sophomore forward Kristen Blye and senior guard Stephanie Agger who each added 14 points for the Rams.
As a team the ladies shot 47.8% from the floor-holding an 84.6% from the free throw line.
MU's Mashira Newman was the top shooter for the night with 23 points.
The Rams went into the locker room at the half with the lead at 31-29 but the Warriors would return to outshoot 31-26. PhilaU forced 22 turnovers and came away with five blocks and nine steals.
The Rams return to the hardwood on Wednesday (12/1) in their first home CACC match of the season as they take on Goldey-Beacom College at 6:00 p.m. in the Gallagher Center.
