Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University women's basketball team (1-3, 0-1 CACC) fell in their CACC opener against Goldey-Beacom College (2-4, 1-0 CACC) Wednesday night at home. The game's high shooter was sophomore forward Kristen Blye who tallied a career high 24 points for the night complete with six boards and one steal.
PhilaU left halftime trailing 37-33 matching GBC in three-point shooting, 3-6. Sophomore forward Taylor Peltzer performed well in the first half shooting 100% from both the field and line. She tallied five points and six boards on the evening.
Sophomore forward/center Christine Wooding held double digit points for the Rams with 14 adding six boards.
GBC shot 46% from the field while sinking 40% from three point range. PhilaU held 40% from the field taking 25% beyond the arc.
The Rams are set to defend home when Bloomsburg University visits the Gallagher Center on Saturday (12/4) at 2 p.m.
