The Rams Gets 79-69 OT Win vs. Dominican

Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University women's basketball team (9-7, 5-4 CACC) pulled out a nail-biter Thursday night against Dominican College (6-10, 4-5 CACC), as PhilaU senior forward Kate Brennan led the Rams to victory with 28 points and three assists.  PhilaU junior Christine Wooding also contributed from the paint with 20 points on the night. 

In the first half alone the Rams out-shot the Chargers from behind the arc, 44% to 25%.  The Chargers fought back and held a slight lead 34-31 at the half.

Both teams came out of the locker room firing, as DC sophomore guard Lindsay Lopez headed the charge with nine points. Brennan answered by putting up 18 points in the second half, 4-8 from the three-point line.

Regulation ended with a 67-67 stalemate.

The Rams never trailed in overtime, as Wooding and Brennan stole the show with a combined 10 points.  The game ended with PhilaU on top 79-69.

The Rams will travel to Concordia College on Saturday (1/29) at 1:00 p.m for their next game, and will play next at home on Tuesday (2/1) vs. Holy Family at 6:00 p.m.
