Women's Basketball Season Ends in 72-58 Loss at #1 HFU

Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University women's basketball team (15-12, 11-8 CACC) saw their season come to an end in a 72-58 loss at #1 seeded Holy Family University (22-3, 18-1 CACC) in the CACC quarterfinals on Monday night.

PhilaU was led by 15 points from junior Stephanie Agger, while HFU's Erin Mann led all scorers with 20 ticks.

The Rams started off strong, shooting 45% from the field in the first half and led 31-27 at the half.

Also making solid contributions for PhilaU were senior guard/forward Kate Brennan with 11 points, junior center Christine Wooding with 11 points and seven boards and sophomore forward Kristen Blye with 10 points. 

Holy Family erupted with 55% shooting in the second half to pull away after a 40-40 tie.  The home squad would roll from there, helped by 19 pints from Catherine Carr.  The Tigers now move on to the CACC Semifinals on Friday.
