Bronxville, NY- A rough match for the
Philadelphia University women's tennis team (2-4, 1-3 CACC) left
them with a 9-0 loss to undefeated Concordia College (2-0, 2-0
CACC).
In singles, #1 Isabella
Espinosa struggled valiantly against Yuliya Plevako of
Concordia. Eventually, Espinosa lost (6-4, 6-1).
There were more setbacks for the lady rams in doubles. The #2
pairing of Espinosa and her partner Elizabeth
Verbits claimed five points in the match, but fell
back 8-5.
Women's tennis returns for a CACC matchup at Philadelphia
University when the Rams host University of the Sciences on
Wednesday (9/28) at 4:00 p.m.
