Box Score KISSIMMEE, Fla. – The Philadelphia University men's tennis was defeated by Stonehill College, 5-3, in a tough regional showdown Tuesday morning at Liberty High School.
Philadelphia (2-7), sixth in the ITA East Region rankings, earned one point in doubles action when Ryan Christopher and Adrian Torroella-Cruz defeated Eric Ringstad and Nuck Hyzak in the No. 2 flight, 9-7.
Kyle Burke was a straight-set winner over Hyzak in the No. 3 singles match, 6-2, 6-0. After dropping the first set, Christopher rallied in his No. 4 match to knock off Thomas Alaimo, 0-6, 6-3, 10-6.
Stonehill (6-1) entered the match 10th in the East Region rankings.
Philadelphia concludes its spring break trip Wednesday, March 14 against McKendree University in Orlando.
