Senior forward Taylor Peltzer (Holland, Pa./Archbishop Wood) ended the contest with 12 points, while sophomore guard Najah Jacobs (Philadelphia, Pa./Central) added 10 points.

Freshman forward Tori Arnao (Newtown, Pa./Archbishop Wood) came off-the-bench to score eight points, grab 12 rebounds, and dish out a career-high four assists. Junior guard Megan Finn (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) had a game-best six assists in a reserve role.

The Eagles got a double-double consisting of 12 points and 10 rebounds from Monique Chance. Hailey Griffin added 10 points.

Four Eagles got into the act early on to help Post outscore Philadelphia 10-4 in the first 7:07.

Philadelphia responded with 18 of the game's next 20 points, which included scoring contributions from six Rams, to take a 22-12 advantage with 6:45 left in the first half. The Rams took a 32-24 lead to the locker room for halftime.

After Chance scored the first basket of the second half, Philadelphia rattled off 10 unanswered points, six from Peltzer, to move ahead by 19 points (45-26) with 16:02 still to play. A Peltzer jumper at the 10:56 mark extended the Ram lead to a game-high 24 points at 54-30.

The Eagles fought back as they would outscore the Rams 27-8 over a 9:24 stretch to close the gap to 62-57. Fernanda Mansilla scored seven of her nine points during the run, while Griffin had six.

Philadelphia held Post at bay with a Blye basket and by going a perfect 6-of-6 at the line.

The Rams shot 41.5 percent (27-of-65) from the field and 81.3 percent (13-of-16) at the stripe. The Eagles hit 31.6 percent (24-of-76) of their field goal attempts and all 10 of their free throws. Post won the rebounding battle, 45-42.

Philadelphia heads to University City for a CACC showdown against the University of the Sciences on Wednesday, Jan. 9 at 6 p.m.
