BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The Philadelphia University women's tennis team suffered its second straight loss to a nationally ranked opponent on Tuesday as the Rams fell to No. 37 Concordia (N.Y.), 8-1 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match of the year.
The Rams are now 2-2 overall and 0-1 in the CACC, while the Clippers are 1-0 overall and 1-0 in the conference.
In her first collegiate match, freshman Daniela Rosen (Boonton Twp., N.J./Mountain Lakes) earned Philadelphia's only point as she rallied from a set down to take her No. 6 singles match against Nicole Stuhr 3-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-3).
The Clippers won all of the other singles matches in straight sets.
Philadelphia continues conference play when the team travels to Georgian Court on Saturday, Sept. 14 at noon.
