After Day and Placher traded threes to kick off the second, Philadelphia used suffocating defense and a balanced offense to go on a 16-0 run over a 6:13 span to open up a 36-21 lead with 2:29 left. The Lions were 0-of-7 shooting and turned the ball over five times. Meanwhile, the Rams hit six of their 12 attempts. Newell and Arnao scored five points each, Kelsey Jones () added four, and Day contributed two.

The Rams' lead dipped below 10 just once in the second half when Jaelyn Tweedy, who had 14 points for the Lions, knocked down a 3-pointer with 3:50 left in the third quarter to make the score 50-41. Philadelphia answered the triple with 11 straight points, five from Bria Young (Philadelphia, Pa./Prep Charter), to go ahead by 20 (61-41) on a Young free throw at the 5:48 mark of the final quarter.

Placher finished the game with 14 points.
