2018 NCBWA ALL-EAST REGION TEAMS
PHILADELPHIA – Senior first baseman Brandon Quaranta of the Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) baseball team was named to the 2018 National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) All-East Region Honorable Mention Team on Thursday morning when the news was announced.

Quaranta, a 2018 All-CACC First Team selection, had a monster year at the plate and led Jefferson in most offensive categories. The first baseman led Jefferson in home runs (15), total bases (122), walks (34), on-base percentage (.498), slugging percentage (.753), runs (47), RBI (49), two-out RBI (16) and multi-RBI games (10). He ranked second in hits (60) and batting average (.370). The senior broke Jefferson's all-time career home run record on April 29 with his 38th career home run. Quaranta hit .532 with runners in scoring positon (25-for-47) and .636 with a runner on third with less than two outs (7-for-11) on the campaign. The Poughkeepsie, New York native hit a walk-off home run against USciences on April 9 and record two grand slams in the doubleheader against Caldwell on April 14.
