PHILADELPHIA – The Thomas Jefferson University women's soccer team (7-3-1, 6-1-0 CACC) dominated conference foe Bloomfield on Sunday, winning by a 4-0 score.
GAMEPLAY
The Rams got on the board in the 10
th minute with
Devin Sullivan,
Emma Kuciapinski, and
Abby Cargile perfectly executing a tic-tac-toe play across the top of the box, culminating in Cargile's first collegiate goal. Jefferson needed just 59 seconds to make it a two-goal lead as
Helina Macchia booted a beautiful arcing shot just inside the left post on a free kick from the top corner of the box. It was the first career tally for Macchia.
Another great setup by the Rams made the score 3-0 in the 40
th minute.
Anna Midock took a free kick which
Carly Reighard headed back the opposite direction right to
Hannah Potocki. Potocki deposited the ball into the left side of the cage for her first collegiate goal. The final marker of the contest came from
Laural Erick just 59 ticks later. She dribbled around a defender before beating the goalkeeper from 25 yards out.
