QUEENS, N.Y. - The Thomas Jefferson University women's basketball team made it a perfect 2-0 for its opening weekend at the East Region Challenge, topping Molloy 66-53 on Sunday afternoon.

GAMEPLAY
The two squads were even at seven with 5:14 left in the first quarter. The Rams then posted 11 of the next 15 to go in front 18-11. Four different players contributed in the stretch. After a Molloy bucket, Jefferson scored five points to take a 10-point cushion (23-13) into the second.

Sabria Lytes opened the scoring in the second with a jumper and
Emily Keehfuss followed with a three to up the Rams' advantage to 15 (28-13). With the score 28-16, Jefferson went on a 15-0 run to blow it open to a 27-point lead (43-16) with 2:41 on the clock.
Allie Warren led the rally with eight points. Jefferson was ahead 43-20 at the intermission.

The Rams continued to dominate in the third, outscoring the Lions 17-8 in the period. The score was 60-28 entering the final quarter. Molloy won the fourth by a 25-6 count but it was too little, too late as Jefferson closed out the win.
