Women's Basketball Rolls Past Wilmington (Del.)

NEW CASTLE, Del. - The Thomas Jefferson University women's basketball team (13-5, 6-3 CACC) scored the first seven points of the game and cruised to a 77-40 victory at Wilmington (Del.) in conference action on Wednesday night.
 
GAMEPLAY
The Rams got off to a quick start, netting the contest's first seven points over the opening 1:41. Three different players contributed to the early surge. With the score 11-4, Jefferson strung together six points to up the margin to 13 (17-4). The Rams led 23-12 heading into the second period.
 
It was 25-14 with 8:28 to go in the second quarter. Jefferson then went on a 10-2 run to increase the cushion to 19 (35-16). Morgan Robinson led the stretch with six points. The Wildcats narrowed the deficit to 15 (35-20) but the Rams pulled away further with 14 straight points. Jefferson coasted the rest of the way, outscoring the Wildcats 28-17 in the second half.
