LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Thomas Jefferson University softball team was recognized as a NFCA Academic Team while nine players were named NFCA Scholar-Athletes, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced.
 
The Rams posted a team GPA of 3.54 for the 2021-22 academic year, ranking 41^st in Division II. Teams needed to record a 3.00 or better to be tabbed a NFCA Academic Team.
 
Jefferson's NFCA Scholar-Athletes included Anna Akelaitis, Emily Akelaitis, Sage Bolonski, Ellie Egher, Sam Gomez, Winnai Hoyt, Cayla Kalani, Dallas Urban, and Kayla Warren. All of them registered a 3.50 or better GPA to earn the honor.
 
The Rams were one of five CACC programs to be honored as a NFCA Academic Team.
