WILMINGTON, Del. – The Thomas Jefferson University women's tennis team (3-1, 1-1 CACC) suffered its first loss of the campaign on Tuesday, falling at Wilmington (1-0, 1-0 CACC) by a 5-2 score.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
During doubles play, the Wildcats claimed the advantage with a win in the third flight but Noelle Frenzel and Nicole Hrbkova won a tiebreak at the top spot to bring the Rams even. Natalie Wagner and Isla Thornicroft were then victorious at second doubles, in yet another tiebreak, to give Jefferson a 1-0 lead in the match.
 
Thornicroft made quick work of her match at fourth singles, winning 6-2, 6-0 to put the Rams ahead 2-0. However, Wilmington roared back with victories at sixth, third, first, fifth, and second singles to take the match.
