Women's Soccer Has Three Players Earn CACC Yearly Awards; Seven on CACC All-Conference Team

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Thomas Jefferson University women's soccer team has garnered seven players on the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) All-Conference team this year. That is the most amount of players on an All-CACC team the Rams have had, as well as fourth time in five years Jefferson has had five or more players named to All-Conference. Liv Riddel, Alexa Callahan, Devin Sullivan, Kiery Spatz, and Carly Yeager were all named to the First Team, while Nikki Dedes and Mia Ferrara were on the Second Team.

Jefferson also allocated three players for CACC Major Awards. Callahan won CACC Rookie of the Year; Yeager earned the CACC Defensive Player of the Year award, and Riddel was named the CACC Goalkeeper of the Year.

ALEXA CALLAHAN – ROOKIE OF THE YEAR AND ALL-CACC FIRST TEAM
Callahan receives her first All-Conference nod as she is named to the First Team and earning Rookie of the Year, the second straight year Jefferson has been recognized for that achievement as Dedes received that honor last year. Callahan leads the Rams and the CACC in goals with 11 on the year, tying her for 26th in the nation. She has had three performances with multiple goals on the year (3 vs Post; 2 vs St. Thomas Aquinas; 2 vs Dominican). Callahan also received Rookie of the Week twice this year (September 11th & September 25.)

LIV RIDDEL – GOALKEEPER OF THE YEAR AND ALL-CACC FIRST TEAM
Riddel takes her first All-Conference recognition and is the second goalie to win CACC Goalkeeper of the Year in Jefferson history since Erin Tinneny in 2019. Riddel started in all 17 games for Jefferson, accumulating 73 saves (third in the conference) and 7 shutouts this season (first in the CACC). She has a 79.3 save percentage, which ranks second in the CACC, and 1.13 goals-against-average on the year, tying her for fourth in the conference. Riddel was named CACC Goaltender of the Week once (Oct. 2).

CARLY YEAGER – DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR AND ALL-CACC FIRST TEAM
Yeager is named to her first All-Conference team in her career and is the second Ram to win CACC Defensive Player of the Year, first since Hannah Palese earned that honor in 2014. Yeager helped anchor a defense that only allowed 10.1 shots-per-game and 1.12 goals-per-game. She also has an assist on the season.

DEVIN SULLIVAN – ALL-CACC FIRST TEAM
Sullivan is named to her third All-CACC Team in her career, with her previous two seasons being on the First-Team as well. She ranks first on the team in assists (8), second in goals (6), and second in points (30). Sullivan has had two multi-assist games this season (2 vs Post; 2 vs St. Thomas Aquinas).

KIERY SPATZ – ALL-CACC FIRST TEAM
Spatz earns her second All-Conference Team nomination, being named to Second Team last season. She has four goals on the season, tying her for third on the team, and four assists on the year, tying her for fourth on Jefferson. She has had three goals in her last two contests (2 against Chestnut Hill on Nov. 2; 1 goal against Chestnut Hill on Nov. 5). Spatz also has 12 points on the season, also fourth on the team, while also being named CACC Defensive Player of the Week once this year (Sept. 11).

NIKKI DEDES – ALL-CACC SECOND TEAM
Dedes is on her second All-Conference Team in her career as she was on the First-Team last season. She is fifth on Jefferson with three goals and tied for fourth with four assists as well. She had a two-goal performance against Chestnut Hill on Nov. 5th this season.

MIA FERRARA – ALL-CACC SECOND TEAM
Ferrara is named to her first All-Conference Team in her career. She was tied for third on the team with four goals and tied for second with five assists. Ferrara registered two assists against Domincan (N.Y.) on Oct. 21 this year.
