PHILADELPHIA – The Thomas Jefferson University women's lacrosse team (2-4, 1-0 CACC) cruised to a 24-3 victory over visiting Caldwell (1-4, 0-1 CACC) in the conference opener on Sunday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Rams took a 3-0 lead thanks to goals by
Carina Raymond,
Audrey Strock, and
Gabby Modzelewski. The Cougars came back with a pair to close the gap to one with 2:33 left in the opening period. Jefferson then pulled away, netting 14 in a row to go ahead 17-2 with 10:43 remaining in the third quarter. Nine different Rams found the back of the net during the stretch and
Carina Raymond led the way with three goals. After a Caldwell tally, Jefferson scored the last seven of the contest.
