PHILADELPHIA – The #12/18 Thomas Jefferson University women's basketball (3-0) were looking to see their fourth quarter lead fade away as the Chargers made it 64-63 with 4:33 left in the game, but a 13-4 run to end the match help the Rams take a non-conference victory against Dominican University of New York (2-1) in Wednesday night action.

  • Spratt hit free throws and Burkhart hit a jumper as they lead Dominican 57-48 heading into the fourth

  • Tamia Nunes nailed a three to start the fourth quarter. Cassie Murphy hit 1-2 free throws and made a layup with Kuczynski following with her own basket to have a 12-point lead for Jefferson

  • Dominican railed to an 11-1 run as Angelina DiMarsico hit a three, Emma Gribben and Nunes baskets, and two Mills free throws had them trail the Rams 64-63 with 4:33 left to go

  • Nigro converted her jumper and-one play to make it a four point game. Dominican would get within two points but Recinto, Burkhart, and Murphy all scored the final 10 points to end the match with a 77-67 victory
