Four Rams Named on Women's Lacrosse CACC All-Conference Team
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Thomas Jefferson University saw four of their women's lacrosse players named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) All-Conference Team as announced by the conference this morning.
Faith Hardy was named to the All-CACC First Team as a Defender while
Erin Avanzato (Attack),
Iris Gluck (Midfield), and
Kalyn Ammerlaan (Goalkeeper) were on the All-CACC Second Team.
Hardy earns her second straight CACC All-Conference First Team selection. She tied her career-high in caused turnovers with 24 while having 33 ground balls this season. Hardy helped a Ram's defense that only allowed 8.73 goals-against average, ranking second amongst conference opponents. She also has a goal this season.
Avanzato is named to a All-CACC Team for the fourth consecutive year, her third on the All-Second Team in her career and second straight nod after being on the Second Team last season. The graduate student is second on the team with 31 goals while dishing out 12 assists, putting her at 43 points on the year. Avanzato has had two 5-goal performances this year (April 4th at Wilmington & April 20th at Bridgeport).
Iris Gluck joins Avanzato with her second consecutive All-CACC Second Team nomination. Gluck contributed with 16 goals on the season for the Rams. She also had a career-high in draw controls (63) and ground balls (33) while tying her career best with 15 caused turnovers for Jefferson. Gluck has had two 4-goal performances this season (March 16th against Felician and April 20th at Bridgeport).
Ammerlaan earns her first ever All-CACC Team recognition after starting all 14 games at goal for the Rams. She is fourth in the conference in saves (127) and third in save percentage (45.0). She put up seven games with 10+ saves on the season, including her career-best 16 against Post. Ammelaan has also recorded 29 ground balls this season.
