Women's Basketball Dominates Bridgeport
PHILADELPHIA – After a tie at 8-8 in the first half, Thomas Jefferson University women's basketball (10-6, 4-2) outscored the University of Bridgeport (2-16, 2-4) 55-23 in the next three quarters as the Rams won 63-31 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action in Saturday afternoon competition.
WHAT HAPPENED

Jefferson began to take control of the game, with a 22-11 second quarter. Cassie Murphy scored five straight Rams points, including an and-one to get them ahead. Caroly Sipprell and Kaci Mikulski followed suit with their own shots made

The Purple Knights got within one points, 18-17, with 4:13 to go but the Rams refused to let them get close as they went on a 12-2 run. Mikulski added eight of those points, including back-to-back threes, while Murphy made her layup and Kaya Burkhart hit two free throws to get Jefferson up 30-19 in the break

Murphy had an and-one, Kuczynski made a three, Recinto delivered on free throws, and Spratt alongside Mikulski, Nigro, and Janice Ashong all had a basket made as Jefferson won 63-31
