Sipprell's Career-High Helps Women's Basketball Take Down St. Thomas Aquinas
PHILADELPHIA – Thomas Jefferson University (7-4) looked to end their two-game skid before the holiday's begin and were able to find their footing as Carolyn Sipprell scored a career-high 17 points while two of her teammates had double digit points as the Rams took down St. Thomas Aquinas College (2-10) 58-43 in Saturday afternoon non-conference competition.
WHAT HAPPENED

After St. Thomas Aquinas cut the lead down to three to begin the quarter, Jefferson went on a 11-5 run to push themselves up 41-30. Spratt had five points during that run while Recinto contributed four and Thomas hit her lone shot. Marquez had a basket in the quarter, but the Spartans scored five of the final six points to trail the Rams 46-38 heading into the fourth

The fourth was the lowest scoring quarter, with 17 total points combined by both teams. Sipprell had a basket to begin the quarter while Recinto made two free throws. St. Thomas Aquinas cut the lead back to nine, but Jefferson ran away with it as they eventually won 58-43

Sipprell led the Rams with 17 points and recorded 11 rebounds, both career-highs, for her first career double double. Spratt had 15 points while Recinto contributed 12. Jona Kabashi led all scorers with 19 points for the Spartans
