Nelson Promoted to Assistant Director of Athletics
PHILADELPHIA – Thomas Jefferson University Assistant Vice President for Athletics Corey Goff has announced the promotion of
Rob Nelson to Assistant Director of Athletics.

Rob Nelson to Assistant Director of Athletics," said Goff. "Rob has earned the deep respect of his colleagues through his unwavering commitment, professionalism, and collaborative spirit. He has consistently demonstrated initiative and leadership in every facet of our operations, from managing complex logistics to mentoring student staff. Rob is a passionate advocate for our student-athletes and brings a strategic mindset that will continue to elevate our department. We are excited for the future with Rob in this expanded role."
Nelson earns the Assistant Director of Athletics title after working with Jefferson for nearly 10 years as the program's Coordinator of Equipment and Recreation. He has overseen procurement and vendor relationship for all 17 varsity sports, managed team equipment distribution, work game day operations for home events with supervision over student staff. Nelson joined the Rams after working with the Muhlenberg School District as the Falls Sports Manager for two years.

"Over the years, I've had the privilege of working alongside dedicated colleagues and exceptional student-athletes, and I look forward to building on that foundation in this new capacity. Nelson earned his Bachelor's of Art degree with a concentration in Sports Management at Kutztown University in May 2015. He went on to receive his Master's of Business Administration degree from Jefferson in May of 2020.
