122 Rams Earn D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award
CLEVELAND - Thomas Jefferson University had 122 student-athletes receive the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award for the 2024-25 academic year.
Presented by the Division 2 Athletics Directors Association, the program recognizes the academic accomplishments of student-athletes at the Division II level. In order for a student-athlete to receive an Academic Achievement Award, the athletics director of the Division II institution must be a current dues-paying member of the D2 ADA. Also, the student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, have attended a minimum of two years (four semesters) of college level work, have been an active member of an intercollegiate team during his/her last academic year.
22,756 student-athletes earned the honors from the 2024-25 year, this being the first time the award has had more than 20,000 nominations from 202 different institutions. This brings the grand total to 190,032 athletes since the awards inception back in 2007.
Jefferson tied for the most nominees for the award in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) alongside the University of Bridgeport. Holy Family University and Georgian Court University tied for third with 116. The 122 nominees are also the most players the Rams have had named in school history for one academic year.
The CACC had 886 total student-athletes honored for the D2 ADA award. The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) leads all Division II conferences with 2,051 students.
