Women's Rowing Claims Gold in Varsity Eight; Finish Regular Season at Dad Vail Regatta
 
CHERRY HILL, N.J. – Thomas Jefferson University women's rowing had their final race in the regular season as they hosted the Dad Vail Regatta on Friday and Saturday. The Rams were able to claim a gold medal, the first for the team in program at the Dad Vail and second gold this season.
 
WHAT HAPPENED
  • The Varsity Eight competed in the Grand Final Herny Backe Trophy, where the Rams took the gold with a 7:00.770 time, going ahead of second place Rollins, who is ranked fifth in the nation and won the Sunshine State Conference (SSC) back in April, by nearly 15 seconds
  • Jefferson went in the Dii & DIII Varsity Four Grand Final, finishing sixth in the race
  • The Rams also raced in the Frosh/Novice 4+ and DII/DIII Varsity 4+ Final 2, where both teams placed first in the races

Jefferson completed their regular season and will await their fate on May 19 as the NCAA will have their selection show on ncaa.com to see who will make the NCAA Division II Championships from May 29 to May 31 in Gainesville, Georgia.
