PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – A challenging slate awaits the Philadelphia University baseball team in 2012 with 19 contests on its 48-game slate, which was released Monday, coming against teams that played in last season's NCAA Tournament.

The Rams open 2012 with three games at Dowling, the 2011 East Coast Conference champion, on Feb. 25 and 26. A week later Philadelphia takes on national semifinalist Southern Connecticut State for four games on March 3 and 4 at Jack Cust Stadium in Flemington, N.J.

The home schedule kicks off March 6 with the first of four games against Millersville, a national tournament participant. The Rams visit the Marauders for an April 1 twin-bill and then play one more time in Philadelphia on April 17. NCAA Regional Tournament participant Franklin Pierce comes to Alumni Field, along with Bloomsburg, on March 10.

The Rams travel to Florida to play six games in four games, including a game at Nova Southeastern on March 13 and a doubleheader against UMass-Lowell on March 15 in Lake Worth.

Philadelphia's final non-conference games against a 2011 NCAA Tournament team will be against East Stroudsburg. The Rams host the Warriors on March 26 and meet again three days later in East Stroudsburg.

Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play begins with a doubleheader at Chestnut Hill on March 20. Two days later Philadelphia travels to Delaware to take on the defending CACC championship Wilmington. The Wildcats come to Philadelphia on May 2.
