Senior Timothy Brodhag batted in a run and sophomore Arturo Figueroa hit an RBI single.
The Warriors pulled away again with a five-run fourth. They benefitted from a two-run homer, RBI single and two-run triple. Nyack made it 11-4 in the fifth with a double.
Each team scored in the seventh and the Rams tallied the final two runs in the ninth on a two-run homer by junior Austin Torres.
GAME TWO – L, 11-6 (7 inn.)
The Rams started the scoring in the opening frame when sophomore Efrain Santiago brought home Figueroa on a groundout. The Warriors countered with a five-run first to take the lead.
Jefferson rallied to tie the score at five in the third. Santiago had an RBI single to left center before Torres blasted another homer, this time a three-run shot. It was his fourth long ball of the campaign. The Rams went ahead in the fourth on an error before Nyack flipped the script with a two-run bottom half. The Warriors added a pair of insurance runs in both the fifth and sixth innings.
