Chestnut Hill, PA- Three Philadelphia University starters scored in double-digits as the Rams (5-3, 2-0 CACC) stuck to their game plan in a 74-71 victory over the Chestnut Hill College Griffins (2-5, 0-1 CACC) at Sorgenti Arena on Tuesday evening.  PhilaU stayed undefeated all-time vs. CHC, making it 10-0.

The Rams boasted a season-high 62% field goal percentage, nearly 20 percentage points higher than CHC's 43%.  PhilaU also out-rebounded the 'Griffs 32-24.

CHC's second-leading scorer, Uros Kovacevic knocked down a trey to start action, but PhilaU would pull ahead by 10 points twice in that first stanza.  The Ram's first double-digit lead came at 7:10 on a Connolly three-ball (one of his six on the night) and at 3:12 on a layup by PhilaU rookie guard Nick Christian to make it 36-26.  Christian finished with six points and four boards in 22 minutes.

PhilaU held a 39-36 advantage at halftime.

Two made free-throws by CHC's Mark DiRugeris at 10:46 tied it at 53-53 in period two, but a layup by PhilaU sophomore guard Ed DiRugeris (cousin of CHC's DiRugeris) gave PhilaU a 57-55 lead that they would never relinquish.  E. DiRugeris tallied seven points and five assists.

PhilaU junior forward Corey Francisco chipped in 21 points and senior forward Ola Sasona added 14 points to round out the Ram's offensive effort.
