Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University men's basketball team (9-6, 4-2 CACC) fell 75-56 to Chestnut Hill (5-9, 2-4 CACC) on Wednesday night at the Gallagher Athletic Center. PhilaU's junior forward Corey Francisco led all scorers for the night with 19 points and held eight boards.

PhilaU trailed for the majority of the contest, as the Griffins shot 39% to the Ram's 17% from three point range.

Chestnut Hill held a 33-29 halftime lead. The Rams fought hard in the second half tying it at 56-56 with two good free-throws by senior forward Ola Sasona. A six-point run by the Griffins would be enough to hold the Rams back for the remainder of the match.

PhilaU got double-digit scoring from sophomore guard Jim Connolly (13 points) and junior forward J.J. Gundry (10 points) and freshman guard Nick Christian.

The Rams hit the hardwood next on Tuesday (1/25) as they travel to meet the University of the Sciences for a CACC match at 8:00 p.m.
