Five in Double-Digits as PhilaU Wins 71-61 at USci

Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University men's basketball team (10-6, 5-2 CACC) used a total team effort to take care of the University of the Sciences (8-6, 4-4 CACC) 71-61 on the road on Tuesday night.  PhilaU was led by freshman guard Nick Christian's 19 points, along with six rebounds.

PhilaU outshot the Devils 53%-35%, while also out-rebounding the home team 45-23.  USci was led by Tyrone Mann-Barnes who notched 16 points.

The Rams trailed 36-35 at the break.

USci's Adewale Adefemi tied it at 45's at 15:06 left to play, but PhilaU sophomore guard Jim Connolly's trey PhilaU ahead for good. Adefemi had eight points for USci, while Connolly added 12 points and eight rebounds for PhilaU.

PhilaU junior center Temi Adebayo added two made free-throws just two minutes later to give the Rams room to breathe. Adebayo had 14 points, six rebounds and five blocks on the night. 

Also in double-digits for the Rams were senior forward Ola Sasona with 11 points and nine rebounds and junior forward Corey Francisco with 11 poitnts and 11 rebounds. 

The Rams return to the wood on Thursday (1/27) at home vs. the Dominican College Chargers at 8 p.m. at the Gallagher Athletic Center.
