PHILADELPHIA – Philadelphia University men's basketball coach Herb Magee and his clinic staff is pleased to announce the addition of Philadelphia University women's basketball coach Tom Shirley.
Shirley, who is also Philadelphia University's director of athletics, will join Magee's staff starting with the Nothing But Net & Moves without the Ball clinic which takes place on Sunday, Oct. 14 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Philadelphia University.
At the clinic–which still has spots available and is accepting day-of walk-ups—players will learn how to create their own shot, develop proper footwork, and perfect their offensive skills.
In their combined 76 years of collegiate head coaching experience, Magee and Shirley have racked up 1,568 victories making them the winningest active coaching tandem in the NCAA. A 2011 inductee into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, Magee has amassed 941 wins in 45 seasons at the end of the Rams' bench to lead all NCAA men's basketball coaches. In 31 seasons, Shirley has a career total of 627 victories.
