NEW HAVEN, Conn. – A double-double average over a three-game span earned Philadelphia University freshman forward Peter Alexis (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Holy Redeemer) the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) rookie of the week award on Monday.
Alexis averaged 12.3 points and 11.3 rebounds in a 2-1 week for the Rams. In the season opening win over University of the Sciences, Alexis had 11 rebounds, eight points and four blocks. He posted 12 points and 12 blocks against Molloy to record his first double-double. Alexis ended the week with a career-high 17 points and 11 rebounds against UMass-Lowell.
Philadelphia (2-1, 1-0 CACC) continues its five-game home stand against Kutztown on Tuesday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m.
