Basketball alum Angelos being inducted into Montgomery County Coaches Hall of Fame

PHILADELPHIA – Philadelphia University men's basketball alumnus Al Angelos is being inducted into the Montgomery County Coaches Hall of Fame on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015 at the Normandy Farm Hotel Conference Center.

Angelos, a guard for the Rams from 1976 to 1980, is 50th on the men's basketball scoring list with 1,055 career points.

After graduating from the University in 1980, Angelos became the head coach at Ursinus College from 1984 to 1991. In 1991, Angelos went Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School, his alma mater, to take over the Colonials. Angelos led Plymouth-Whitemarsh to the PIAA-AAAA State Championship in 1997. He is currently an assistant at Archbishop Carroll High School.

Tickets for the event are $75, but if you pay by November 14 tickets are $60. Tables of 10 are available for $550. The event begins with a cocktail hour at 5:30 p.m. and dinner starts at 7 p.m.
