WATERBURY, Conn. – The Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) women's and men's basketball teams hit the road for a Saturday conference matchup at Post University on Jan. 13. Action begins at 1 p.m. with the women's contest followed by the men's affair at 3 p.m.

Between men's basketball coach Herb Magee (1064) and women's basketball coach Tom Shirley (735), the duo has a combined 1799 wins and can reach 1800 on Saturday at Post.

Jefferson swept Nyack this past Wednesday from the Gallagher Center.

The women won 84-70 as senior Rachel Day became the 32nd player from the women's program to reach 1000 career points as she scored a game-high 26 on the evening. Redshirt junior Jessica Kaminski fell just shy of a triple-double with 12 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists.

The men defeated the Warriors by an 89-68 final as the Rams notched season highs of 68.1% team shooting and 14 made three-pointers. Freshman Alexander Gorton led all scorers with 25 in the victory on 8-of-12 shooting including 6-of-8 from three-point range. Senior Kaison Randolph scored 23 points on the night with 10 rebounds and six assists. The senior shot 8-of-13 from the floor including 4-of-7 from deep.
