PHILADELPHIA – The Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) men's basketball team begins its 2018-19 season on the road in North Andover, Mass. on Saturday, Nov. 10 and Sunday, Nov. 11. Participating in Merrimack's East Region Conference Challenge, the Rams face American International on Saturday at noon from Hammel Court before taking on Merrimack on Sunday at noon.

Jefferson went 21-14 before making a run to capture their fifth CACC crown, including their third in five years, to earn the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. It came as the 36th NCAA appearance for the men's program and 30th under Head Coach Herb Magee, who is entering his 52nd year at the helm of the team in 2018-19.

The Rams were picked to finish first in the 2018-19 CACC South Division Preseason Coach Poll released on Oct. 31.
AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL – SATURDAY – NOON
American Int'l went 11-17 a season ago. They squared up with the Rams as Jefferson fell, 69-64, on Nov. 12, 2017.
MERRIMACK – SUNDAY – 2 PM
Merrimack went 20-12 in 2017-18 as they made it to the semifinals of the NCAA Championship East Region bracket before falling to Bloomfield. Merrimack was ranked No. 18 when they defeated Jefferson last year on Nov. 11, 2017 by a final of 61-56.
