HONEYBROOK, Pa. – The Philadelphia University men's golf team placed two runners inside the top six positions to take second at the weather-shortened Ravens Spring Invitational Sunday at the Honeybrook Golf Club.

Led by strong performances from Nicholas Nguyen (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) and Peter Mahal (Great Meadows, N.J./Hackettstown), the Rams posted the runner-up score of 308—one stroke behind team champion Immaculata.

The event was shortened to 18 holes from 36 after Saturday was snowed out.

Nguyen rounded out the top-five in the 63-player event with an 18-hole score of 75 (+5). Mahal finished in a four-way tie for sixth place by shooting a 76 (+6).

Jayson Gonzalez-Adams (Mayaguez, Puerto Rico/Colegio Rosa-Bell) was part of a three-way deadlock with the 14th-place score of 78 (+8), while Austin Regan (Mullica Hill, N.J./Gloucester Catholic) ended his day with a 79 (+9) to finish in a three-way tie for 17th.

Thomas Lucci (Chagrin Falls, Ohio/Chagrin Falls) turned in a card of 80 (+10), good for a five-way tie for the 21st position.

Robbie Bray from St. Joseph's (L.I.) picked up the individual title with a round of 73 (+3).

Philadelphia returns to action with a home tri-match against the University of the Sciences and Stockton University on Wednesday, April 13 at The ACE Club.
