Men’s soccer announces schedule for its 60th season

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Philadelphia University men's soccer team will begin its 60th season with a non-conference match-up against Charleston (W. Va.) on Thursday, Aug. 30 at 5 p.m. This is one of six non-conference contests that make up the Rams' 18-game schedule that head coach Ptah Myers released on Tuesday.

Philadelphia—who is coming off of a 5-11-0 season in 2011—also welcomes East Stroudsburg (Sept. 26), LIU-Post (Oct. 16), and Millersville (Oct. 24) to Ravenhill Field for non-conference play. Millersville was a national semi-finalist in 2011, while LIU-Post reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

The game against Millersville—who Philadelphia defeated last season 2-1—will be the Rams' season finale.

Wheeling Jesuit (Sept. 1), Molloy (Sept. 11) and West Chester (Oct. 4) make up the Rams' non-conference road schedule.

Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play begins with a road match against Goldey-Beacom on Sept. 5. The first home conference contest is against Post on Sept. 22. Philadelphia travels to Nyack on Sept. 22 to take on the defending CACC champion.

Homecoming is slated for Sept. 29 against Felician.
