Men’s Soccer Falls at Bloomfield

BLOOMFIELD, N.J. – The Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) men's soccer team (4-4-1, 3-2-1 CACC) fell to the Bloomfield Bears (1-7, 1-5 CACC) from Foley Field in Bloomfield, N.J. by a final of 1-0 on Saturday afternoon.

The two teams were scoreless after the opening 45 minutes as the Rams managed just one shot in the first half compared to Bloomfield's 12. The Bears led corners 7-1.

Bloomfield scored the contest's lone goal in the 66th minute when Adrian Smart scored with an assist from Nathaniel Valencia.

In total, Jefferson took five shots over 90 minutes with two coming on goal from junior transfer Charlie Livesey and freshman Joshua Njoroge.

Jefferson had two corner opportunities in the affair, one in each half, compared to Bloomfield's 11.

Junior transfer Kris Donaldson (L, 2-1) made five saves on the day as he started his third-straight match.
