Men's Soccer Continues Hot Streak with Shutout at Dominican (N.Y.)

ORANGEBURG, N.Y. – The Thomas Jefferson University men's soccer team (4-6-1, 4-2-0 CACC) picked up its fourth straight victory with a 2-0 decision at Dominican (N.Y.) (4-7-0, 2-3-0 CACC) on Saturday night.

GAMEPLAY
The Rams led the shot tally in the first half by an 11-7 count but the Chargers made six saves throughout the half to thwart Jefferson. The Rams then broke through in the 39th minute when senior Rashaan Robe sent a cross into the area and junior Theophilus Ijeboi finished into the bottom left corner for a 1-0 lead.

The Chargers created more opportunities in the second half, totaling five corner kicks in the period. However, the Jefferson defense kept Dominican off the scoreboard, including junior Kris Donaldson who turned away four shots on the evening.

The Rams found some insurance in the 75th minute as senior Hunter Dyson's shot was blocked but senior Charlie Livesey followed up on the rebound for his team-leading fifth goal of the season.

NOTES
- Livesey has recorded at least one point in five consecutive games.
- Jefferson last had a four-game win streak in the 2017 campaign.
- It was the 600th victory in program history. The Rams' all-time record is 600-389-96 for a .597 winning percentage.
